Fashion and sportswear brand Fred Perry has teamed up with the Central Saint Martins foundation course to design pieces for the Amy Winehouse Foundation collection.

The brand enlisted 150 students from the course to create their versions of both the classic Fred Perry polo shirt and the Amy Winehouse Foundation bowling shirt, which complement the in-house designs, to be incorporated into the next capsule collection.

Originally only three winning entries were to be chosen, with the Fred Perry design team specifically looking for designs that capture the ethos and personality of the brand, however because the students produced “such strong work” the brand selected four designs.

The successful students will work with the Fred Perry design and development teams to realise their designs and the shirts will then be manufactured and distributed globally in Fred Perry Authentic shops and selected retailers.
