(New York, NY, May 26, 2017) After a successful opening touring slot with acclaimed Jon McLaughlin, as well as a much-buzzed about performance at the 2017 Worldwide Radio Summit showcasing global radio stars (held in Hollywood, CA), vocalist/songwriter Katrina Woolverton is taking her 5-octave range back out on the road. The breakout artist is opening for John Popper, the iconic lead singer for the Grammy winning band Blues Traveler. Katrina will be joining Popper on 25 dates taking place in June and September, with her itinerary for this month’s shows kicking off on June 7 at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, CA, then continuing on to Miners Foundry, on June 8 in Nevada City, CA, the Coach House on June 9, in San Juan Capistrano, CA, Saint Rocke on June 11, at Hermosa Beach, CA, and BLK Live on June 14, at Scottsdale, AZ.

Her sultry new single “Hold Me Down” is getting a welcome response at U.S. and UK radio, with the enticing video directed by Nick Spanos making its debut premiere on Vevo. WATCH HERE: http://bit.ly/2oNkb8W
The song is from her new EP Better Now (REDRED/SONY/ RED/BDG), a six-track offering displaying the star’s gift for musical nuance, songwriting, as well as featuring her impressive vocal range. The EP also includes the reassuring title track “Better Now” (co-written with Grammy winner Amy Wadge who co-penned Ed Sheeran’s 2016 Grammy winning smash, “Thinking Out Loud”), “Open Hearted,” “Known Better,” “Lonely Heart,” and “Heart Beats.”

Recorded mostly in London, the EP was mixed and produced by renowned producer Mikal Blue, (One Republic, Colbie Caillat, Jason Mraz, among others) with co-production by Jez Coad, Jules Wolfson and Katrina Woolverton. Mikal is a co-writer on the single “Hold Me Down,” and also engineered the EP with Jonathan Sagis. Included in Better Now’s deft mix of contributors/songwriters alongside Blue and Wadge are

Raja Kumari (Gwen Stefani, Fall Out Boy) and Jules Wolfson (co-founder of Nexus Music with more than 100 gold and platinum certifications).

Katrina will be spotlighting the songs in an acoustic setting with guitarist Andrew Doolittle. Her recent string of dates with Jon McLaughlin drew praise, as did her rousing performance at the World Wide Radio Summit . Since her 2011 critically acclaimed debut In the Blink of an Eye, Katrina has released 4 chart topping singles, developed a social fan base of nearly a 1⁄2 million followers, and was the opener for the multi-platinum artist Meat Loaf on his “Mad Mad World Tour.”
