That the new season of the hit Bravo cooking competition, “Top Chef,” will be shot in Boston. “Boston has always been at the top of our wish list as a location for ‘Top Chef,’ not only because of its rich historical significance, but also because of its robust and ever-growing culinary scene,” said Bravo VP Shari Levine. The series, which begins production this spring, will feature guest judges including Boston-based chefs and celebrities, as well as top entertainers and culinary stars. And, of course, Padma. It will premiere this fall.

That Tom Brady will be making his annual bro-bonding pilgrimage to the Kentucky Derby this weekend while the missus, Gisele Bundchen, is in Brazil posing in bikinis for Colcci. No. 12 is on the list for the oh-so-swish Barnstable Brown bash Friday night along with other bold-facers like the Kings of Leon, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Gene Simmons, Terry O’Quinn and more. Former Bon Jovi ax man Richie Sambora will be performing, using a one-of-a-kind crystal guitar that will be auctioned off to benefit the American Diabetes Association. Perhaps Tommy should buy it for the missus, who — with her recent performance of Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” — is apparently a budding musician. …

That Run-D.M.C. hip-hopper Darryl McDaniels helped kick off a new partnership between Lucky Strike and the Boston-based Conquer Cancer Coalition on Lansdowne Street yesterday. The bowling boite will donate a portion of the sales of special menu items each month to raise funds for cancer research.
